Video's For The NTU JAM!

Being at the NTU JAM was great! it was not only inspiraional it was also an eye opener! We enjoyed the event and managed to catch some of it on video! They have been uploaded on our facebook group! So do check it out over there and enjoy! As it takes a long time to upload to another location such as this blog, it would be easier to direct you guys to our facebook group to catch it! Sorry for the inconvenience caused! Ultimately it was a great experience and we would encourage everyone to head on down to more of these jams!

Although the location was slightly hard to find to some, but those who managed to make it must have found it worth while! Nevertheless, we managed to catch some exciting footage so dont forget to check them out!

Last but not least, Yoshi was doing a feature showcase reppin our Gears as well. You might not have seen the new shirt he is rocking yet! Thats because it has yet to be launched! So keep your eyes peeled!

Sorry guys for the lack of updates after receiving some complaints concerning our updates. It may seem stagnant but we are busy with the new shipment of phase two and more products for your pleasure! "Get your TRUE art on!" is a design competition open to all of you! Our dear valued customers and everyone else on this sunny island Singapore! If your an artsy fartsy one with lotsa talent to let loose on a canvas then take your chances and stand a chance to win S$400 worth of cash and prizes! Winner will be selected by votes!

Theme: Stayin True
-Express your own interpretation of stayin true. We are not gonna set any further details so that you have more room for your own creativity and expression. However the designs would preferably be not too far from True Crew Gears Style.

It was a busy weekend and we had to push this weeks street snaps to sunday. It wasnt a very good idea but we still managed to get some dope shots down at the Esplanade and Skate Park down at Orchard Road. We'd like to express our gratitude to the guys as they were really cooperative and friendly! Here are some shots at Esplanade where two crews have met up for a session. Like we have always believed, in every corner of every street down in the sunny island Singapore; you can find dope skills BUT you just need to know where to search.

First of all we would like to apologise for the lack of updates and we have received feedback that everything is rather "dead". This is because alot of work is going on behind the scenes! We are in the midst of upgrading the website and making alot of other arrangements to bring more to you guys! More product line up! More for all of you! And of course that would mean more workload for us at True Crew Gear! That, of course goes without saying. But it is our joy to bring more for our dear customers that we care for! Today was the R16 competition held at the Padang in Singapore, True Crew sponosred some dope dancers to compete on the internaional platform. Although the results didnt shine on our side, but regardless. True Crew is about staying true to our art, and its not about winning. Victory will come one day, perhaps not today; but true victory is within oneself. When one has stayed true and never let himself down. True Crew Gear will continue to support popper "Mouse" all the way, simply because he is dope and he never lost heart. Here are some pictures for the days event!

Soul Beatz performance @ Singapore Press Holdings

On Sunday 4th April,
Singapore's Zhao Bao organised an event "Faces Of Crossroads" to showcase their previously featured new immigrants with their talents. Among the invited was "Soul Beatz" A dance crew formed with members from different countries. They are, Chong, B-boy Yoshi, Nay Zin Tun ( AKA MOUSE), Elson & Patric. Guest of Honour Mrs Lim Hwee Hwa was also invited to grace the event with her presence.

True Crew Gear had the honour to sponsor "Soul Beatz" for this event. Those in the scene long enough would recognise most of the faces in this crew. They have been dancing for a long time and are recognised for their skills. We managed to snap some pictures and we will upload them in the later part of this post.

Soul Beatz put up an awesome show and won the crouds applause and cheers with their hyped up and energetic performance. A group of fine individuals who stayed true and refined their skills to put together such a dope performance.

We will update this post with the newspaper article once it has been featured!

Shipment Arrives

Our team has long been expecting shipment of our caps and wristbands and it has finally arrived on our shores. They are finally available for sale in our store! Some of you might already see it on the streets! Cause we have had eager customers insisting that they be put on the reservation list as sizes are limited! We do our very best to cater to our customers needs. The wristbands as some of you notice as it is something new on our facebook page as well as our online store! Get them in the coolest colours! Show some love! Slap the wristband on and let the streets know you represent!

Taipei Trip

So the team decided to take a trip to Taipei, luckily one of use was from Taipei and it was easy to move around. We visited the many shopping area's and of course not to mention the dope clubs that Taipei is so famous for.

The weather there was much colder than it should have been, it was ranging between 12-14 degree celcious. However that wasnt the worst part of it, it was when the killer strong winds came. We checked out some of the street fashion there, and we have to say that in terms of design and colour usage we were not too far off. Our friends from some of the stores gave us some inside coverage on the upcoming season stuff, and i must say they are pretty impressive.

But of course TrueCrewGear wouldnt be too far behind would we?

Whats up ladies and gentlemen, introducing True Crew Gear! Only the Dopest street wear / Hip Hop apparels you'd find out on the streets. We believe in staying true to everything you do, and this is where we draw our inspirations from. There is a lot of talent out on the streets, but people dont recognise it. But we do, because we are from the streets and we are here for the streets. This scene is not hyped up enough in our little sunny island Singapore, and we have a dream. We wish that we can one day be the force to band together everyone true, and let all them haters, wannabe's know; that only by staying TRUE, can you achieve true greatness.

We have band together a militia of designers from Singapore, Hong Kong & Taiwan as well as some guest designers from Japan to bring forth this new label. True Crew Gear, is a movement to gain more recognition for the very talent that is out there in every corner of every street. How many people out there has seen a breaker, a popper, a locker, a skater, a biker, a DJ, a rapper do something dope and actually stopped for a second to think, how much time and effort it took to make everything so flawless. So here's the tribute to all you mighty skilled dope warriors out there who stayed TRUE, throughout the tough times and the good times, got up brushed your knees and kept on looking forward everytime you fell.
